Thanks for taking the time to chat with us about your journey.

Here's How to Prepare:

We'll need about 1.5 hours of your time.

We ask that you set aside 60 uninterrupted minutes to share your story.  The extra 30 minutes will be used as a buffer to answer any of your outstanding questions and test both our connections.

The conversation will be recorded for content repurposing via podcast and social media.

Our conversation will be on video.

You should receive a separate email from us with the link to our "virtual stage" on Squadcast, a remote recording platform. When it's time for our conversation, simply click that link and you'll automatically join.

Share as much as you want to share.

The interview will be more like a conversation. Our goal is to share the most relevant and riveting Black Expat stories on the internet. That means we'll be asking you to share your experiences in narrative/story form. This also means you'll be doing a lot of the talking and we'll be doing the listening. So don't feel the need to prepare short and sweet answers. The more detail you can provide and the better you can paint the picture of your experience, the better the story!

Need to cancel or reschedule?

We kindly ask that you cancel or reschedule within 24 hours of your interview if possible.

To do so:

  1. Navigate to the confirmation email you received from us. Subject line should begin with: "Confirmed: Black Expat Stories Virtual Podcast Interview with Courtney..."
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the email and click the appropriate button, which should look like this:

3. The Reschedule button will lead you to the scheduling page, which allows you to find a better time that works for you.

We'll share your story via...

Our website, podcast and social media channels. We'll be sure to tag you everywhere you're online. Feel free to share your feature story with others, too! Feel free to follow us on Instagram, TikTok and  subscribe to our YouTube channel if you haven't already.

Do you know any other Black expats who would be willing to share the story about how they've managed the find the beauty in their Blaxit? Send them this link so that we can feature them! We're on a mission to document the Next Great Migration, and the more stories, the better.
