May 1, 2021 is a date I’ll always remember fondly, because that’s the day we embarked upon our Blaxit journey.
As our plane descended into Cancun’s airport my eyes welled, and before I knew it tears were falling down my cheeks and flowing into my KN95 mask.
I looked out of the window and breathed a sigh of relief.
The joy I felt was unspeakable in that moment because I was experiencing one of the most major manifestations of my life, and I recognized that everything we went through led us to this moment.
